Monday, April 19, 2010
*The IFC Media Project Presents: FEAR, WAR, GREED and DISASTER*
Four-Night Special Event
Premieres Monday, May 24 Through Thursday, May 27 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT

IFC's critically acclaimed, eye-opening series The IFC Media Project will return to the network in May in a bold new format: a four-night docuseries event titled The IFC Media Project Presents: FEAR, WAR, GREED and DISASTER. Four new 30-minute episodes delving into each of these topics will premiere Monday, May 24 through Thursday, May 27 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT.

Each episode is guided by award-winning journalists including Max Blumenthal (FEAR), Nir Rosen (WAR), Charlie LeDuff (GREED) and Andrew Berends (DISASTER). These journalists bring fresh, in-depth perspectives to some of the most important stories of our time - digging beneath the surface of these provocative subjects to reveal the stories that don't get told in the echo chambers of mainstream media.

"This is The IFC Media Project as it was always meant to be irreverent, on point, and in depth," said Meghan O'Hara, creator and executive producer of The IFC Media Project Presents. "The show's new format is a direct response to what we heard from viewers and critics wanting more from our stories. In the process of re-creating this series we've opened a forum for voices of independent journalists to tell the stories the mainstream media can't or won't. We are playing to our strengths like never before."

The series, created and produced by Honest Engine TV's Meghan O'Hara (Bowling For Columbine, Fahrenheit 9/11, SiCKO) and Nick McKinney (The Daily Show, Morgan Spurlock's "30 Days"), aims to uncover what the mainstream media often misses, while at the same time bringing entertaining and fresh perspectives to the most pressing issues in the national dialogue. The series first season premiered on IFC in November 2008.
